Position Summary

BCRF’s Director of Human Resources will be responsible for overseeing the HR function within BCRF, driving BCRF’s people management strategies and fostering and curating BCRF’s culture in partnership with BCRF’s Professional Employer Organization (PEO).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Expand and implement HR policies and programs

  • Direct strategic people management strategy and organizational development

  • Serve as the primary staff contact for all HR matters in a professional and confidential manner that curates BCRF’s culture and strategic business directives

  • Serve as the lead for BCRF’s staff-driven Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Alliance

  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure cultural norms across the organization

  • Oversee the relationship with BCRF’s PEO to ensure:

    • Smooth and legally compliant HR, Benefits, and Payroll functions

    • Robust employee experience including but not limited to onboarding, performance management, and professional development

What we are looking for:

  • You have:

    •  A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

    •  Five plus years of experience in an HR leadership position.

    •  A proven history of leading successful HR initiatives that have positively impacted an organization's morale, culture and/or bottom line.

    •  Experience leading the HR function at a nonprofit organization is preferred.

    •  Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

    •  An ability to work overtime and on weekends.

  • You bring:

Work Environment:

We are currently working remotely with plans to return to our office in New York, NY when deemed safe to do so. 


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. 


This role is not expected to travel regularly; there may be occasional domestic travel.
