BCRF has named Boston a “million-dollar-city”—an esteemed title that reflects the dedicated fundraising efforts led by committed donors in the New England community. This Boston Hot Pink Luncheon & Symposium is an inspirational and educational event that helps support BCRF investigators based at prominent institutions in the region. New England based researchers—who make up the second highest concentration of BCRF grantees—are awarded over $7 million in grants. These funds enable the research talent in the area to be leaders in scientific progress.
This year’s symposium will feature an introduction by Dr. Larry Norton, BCRF Scientific Director Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and will be moderated by Dr. Susan Domchek, BCRF Scientific Advisory Board, Basser Center for BRCA, University of Pennsylvania. Panelists will include Dr. Daniel Haber, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Dr. William Kaelin, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, for a dynamic and compelling question-and-answer discussion.
