About

Dr. Marisa Rubio is director of research engagement at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Marisa has served in other non-profit roles, most recently as a science writer for the Yale University Office of Development and as the assistant director of an institute that focuses on research at the interface of physics, engineering, and biology. She earned her doctorate in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, where she studied the structure and function of proteins involved in neurodegenerative diseases and cancers. She joined BCRF in 2019.
