By BCRF | October 28, 2025

New appointments showcase bold vision and cross-sector leadership

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is delighted to welcome two extraordinary leaders to its Board of Directors: entrepreneur and philanthropist Liz Elting and fashion executive Lizanne Kindler. Their cross-industry expertise and personal commitment to accelerating the end of breast cancer make them assets to the Foundation, and their appointments mark an exciting chapter in BCRF’s continued growth.

Elting and Kindler reflect the strength and diversity of the BCRF community and reinforce the Foundation’s mission, championing bold vision and cross-sector leadership. United by a shared purpose, they will help guide and amplify the Foundation’s lifesaving work, building on decades of progress in breast cancer research. Get to know them here:

Liz Elting, founder and CEO of the Elizabeth Elting Foundation, is a distinguished leader in both philanthropy and business. She has been widely recognized for her exceptional entrepreneurship and her commitment to empowering and advancing women business leaders. Prior to establishing her Foundation, Liz spent 25 years as the founder and Co-CEO of TransPerfect. She is also the bestselling author of Dream Big & Win. With her long track record of philanthropic endeavors, we are thrilled to have her join the Board of Directors.

Lizanne Kindler is the CEO of KnitWell Group, which is comprised of eight iconic fashion brands, including Ann Taylor, Chico’s, Haven Well Within, Lane Bryant, LOFT, Soma, Talbots, and White House Black Market. Brands within the KnitWell family have been valued BCRF Corporate Partners for more than 20 years, contributing over $74 million to our mission thus far. Under Lizanne’s committed leadership, KnitWell’s brands will unite once again this fall for their Sisterhood of Strength campaign, raising millions of dollars for research through customer donations and employee engagement programs. As an industry leader, Lizanne brings a wealth of expertise to BCRF’s leadership.
