Elizabeth Kass, MD, PhD

Liz Kass, MD, PhD is associate d+irector, scientific program manager for clinical programs at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). She earned her MD and PhD from Columbia University and spent several years as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Senior Research Scientist in the lab of BCRF investigator Maria Jasin at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). Her research at MSK focused on understanding how tissue-specific and genetic changes influence the DNA damage response and DNA repair in specific mammary cell populations during mammary gland development. Liz joined BCRF in December 2024. She manages an award portfolio focused on clinical trials and is the lead for BCRF’s Drug Research Collaborative, a program designed to foster groundbreaking research through partnerships with pharmaceutical companies.
