Dr. Priya Malhotra is the Director of Research Impact for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) where she uses her experience in science and cancer research to communicate the impact of BCRF-funded research to various audiences. She earned her doctorate in Biochemistry from Wake Forest University. As a post-doctoral fellow and Research Assistant Professor at Georgetown University, Priya studied radio-resistance in head and neck and prostate cancers. After leaving academia, she began writing grants and preparing communications and presentations for a non-profit organization that focuses on sustainability education for kids. Priya joined BCRF in 2020 and is now the chief liaison between BCRF’s Research and MarComms teams, writing and reviewing scientific content to translate complex scientific findings into lay-friendly language. Priya also manages roughly one-third of BCRF’s portfolio of annual research grants as well as BCRF’s Health Equity Initiative.
