Our mission is to nurture, enhance and aid in the physical, emotional and spiritual recovery of those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. |
The Breast Cancer Recovery Foundation sponsors Infinite Boundaries wellness retreats for breast cancer survivors. We nurture, enhance and aid the emotional, spiritual and physical recovery for women diagnosed with breast cancer.
BCRF’s flagship program, Infinite Boundaries, is a four-day retreat for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Designed by breast cancer survivors for breast cancer survivors, each retreat features a unique mixture of healing approaches: discussions on sensitive topics, creative arts and outdoor recreation. There is healing in nature and retreats are held in Wisconsin’s most beautiful locales. Many Infinite Boundaries retreats take place on Madeline Island, on the shores of Lake Superior.
Women who attend Infinite Boundaries retreats are in all stages of breast cancer. Some are newly diagnosed while others may have been treated for breast cancer years ago. Women ranging in age from 24 – 77 have attended retreats.
Because women living with breast cancer often face considerable medical expense during and after diagnosis, the BCRF places a strong emphasis on ensuring that all women – regardless of financial standing - can experience an Infinite Boundaries retreat. We charge a reduced fee, offer full and partial scholarships and have never turned away anyone who wished to attend an Infinite Boundaries retreat.
The BCRF also sponsors awareness and educational programs including the annual Sharing the Knowledge: Resources for Recovery survivor’s conference.
