Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a form of breast cancer is estrogen receptor–negative, progesterone receptor–negative, and HER2–negative. This means the cancer does not need hormones to grow, and the cancer cells have few or no HER2 receptors. Triple-negative breast cancer is an aggressive form of breast cancer, and it is more likely to recur than other forms of the disease.
