Inspired by Katie Thurston’s journey with stage IV metastatic breast cancer, Little Words Project introduced it’s Thriving bracelet as a representation of resilience and strength. The “IV” in Thriving honors the stage IV community.
Little Words Project will donate 25% of the purchase price of each of Katie’s bracelets sold to BCRF September 19 – October 31, 2025, exclusively supporting metastatic breast cancer research.
A note from Katie about her design:“Breast cancer has a way of making you reevaluate your entire life and future. Let the past be the past…I’m here today and I’m thankful and I’m thriving. I asked my Boobie Broadcast community for help designing this bracelet. The colors were inspired by the colors commonly used to represent metastatic breast cancer. I wanted to use more ethereal colors after a fellow Breastie once told me we are unicorns when comparing our abnormal growth to the horn of a unicorn. This bracelet design encompasses so much of my breast cancer experience.”
