On Wednesday, October 7, 2015, Amy Robach of Good Morning America helped to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the Pink Promises Luncheon at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Long Island, raising more than $400,000. In its sixth year, this annual event has helped to raise over $3 million to date, funding the lifesaving work of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), the only breast cancer organization in the U.S. rated A+ by Charity Watch. BCRF is committed to being the end of breast cancer by advancing the world's most promising research.
Chaired by Ian and Stephanie Ginsberg, owners of the famed C.O. Bigelow Apothecary in Greenwich Village, the luncheon featured dozens of generously donated designer bags that were raffled and auctioned, raising much-needed funds for research. Prominent and philanthropic attendees, including Zabryna Guevara of FOX’s Gotham and Steven Tanger of Tanger Outlets, gathered to show their support for the worthy cause, aiding BCRF in their efforts to fund lifesaving research that will bring us closer to a world free of breast cancer.
When you give to BCRF, you're funding critical hours in the lab. More time for research means longer, healthier lives for the ones we love.
