Delta and BCRF Soar to New Heights

By BCRF | October 1, 2025

Delta Marks 100 Years of Flight and 20 Years of Giving Back to Breast Cancer Research

Twenty years ago, BCRF gained a powerful ally in advancing breast cancer research: Delta Air Lines. This partnership has evolved into an extraordinary corporate commitment, generating over $33 million and funding over 660,000 hours of groundbreaking research focused on the prevention and treatment of aggressive breast cancers.

Delta and BCRF’s twenty-year milestone coincides with another major achievement: Delta’s 100th year of taking flight. Together, these anniversaries represent a century of innovation in aviation and have made a lasting impact on two decades of breast cancer research.

“Through its unwavering partnership with BCRF, Delta Air Lines has played a critical role in fueling advances that have brought us more personalized treatment options, more knowledge about how and why cancer spreads and recurs, and more insight on how to prevent breast cancer entirely,” said Donna McKay, President and CEO of BCRF. “Delta has woven BCRF and this cause into its culture, inspiring a genuine commitment that has impacted countless families affected by this disease.”

Delta’s impact extends far beyond fundraising. This year, Delta kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness month with their annual Breast Cancer One Charter Flight – an event that honors the strength and resilience of 175 Delta employee thrivers each year. Throughout October, Delta donates 25 percent of all onboard sales to BCRF, and employees across Delta support the mission by donning pink uniforms and accessories from Delta’s specialty-designed Pink Boutique.

As BCRF and Delta mark this milestone together, alongside Delta’s centennial, Delta continues to soar to new heights — both in the skies, and in their commitment to advancing lifesaving breast cancer research.
